The Technology and Knowledge Transfer Office (OTIC) supports the protection of know-how developed by the Technical University of Lisbon (UTL), and participates in its transfer to society, stimulating innovation and competitiveness and identifying technological contents that can be transferred to the corporate world.

OTIC is UTL’s institutional tool to support and reinforce partnerships between researchers, enterprises, and institutions.

OTIC’s activities are guided by respect for property rights, confidentiality and transparency.
Created on 1st May, 2006, OTIC is a technology and knowledge platform for synergies between UTL Schools and other development structures, notably: CPIN, GALTEC, INOVISA, and ADFMH.
