The Asia-Link Programme was set up by the European Commission to promote regional and multilateral networking between higher education institutions in Europe and those in developing countries in Asia. The programme aims to promote the creation of new partnerships, to reinforce existing partnerships between European and Asian universities, and to create new sustainable links. The programme is funded by the EU budget, under the budget line for “Political, economic and cultural cooperation with Asian developing countries”.
