The first semester of the academic year begins in the second half of September. This semester ends in December for the examination period.
The second semester begins at the end of February/beginning of March, and continues until the end of May/beginning of June, when the second examination period begins.
Vacations
Christmas and Easter vacations are two weeks long.
Assessment
Examinations (written, oral or both) take place at the end of the first and second semesters. In some cases, the student is requested to present a project or laboratory work.

June 10 Portugal Day
June 13 Saint Anthony’s Day (only in Lisbon)
August 15 Assumption
December 8 Immaculate Conception
December 25 Christmas Day
